Like other vehicles in their portfolio, Mazda approached the 2017 CX-5’s redesign by benchmarking it against more expensive cars. The throttle response and steering feel, not to mention the upscale fittings in the cabin were inspired by luxury and performance vehicles. The result is a mainstream crossover with fun-to-drive dynamics, superb gas mileage, and a premium feel that you won’t find in any of the competition.
